Every PluginSprout add-on installs like any other WordPress plugin. The steps are the same for all of them. The only thing that changes is where the licence screen sits.
Before you start
- The host plugin has to be installed and active first: LearnDash for the certificate add-ons, AffiliateWP for WP Referral Clarity, WooCommerce for WC Order Search Pro and Woo AI Product Recommender.
- Check the Requirements box on the add-on’s product page for the WordPress and PHP versions it needs.
- LearnDash Certificate Renewal also needs LearnDash Certificate Expiry. Install Expiry first.
1. Download the ZIP
After checkout, the receipt page shows your licence key and a download link for each add-on you bought. The same links are in Order history, and the licence key is emailed to you as well.
Keep the file zipped. WordPress installs the ZIP as it is.
2. Install and activate the plugin
- In wp-admin, go to Plugins → Add New Plugin → Upload Plugin.
- Choose the ZIP and click Install Now.
- Click Activate Plugin.
If the host plugin is missing, WordPress won’t activate the add-on, or the add-on shows a notice saying what it needs and stays idle until that plugin is active.
3. Activate your licence
The licence key lets the site receive updates. Every feature works without it, but you won’t get fixes or new versions until it’s active.

- Open the licence screen for the add-on.
- Paste the key from your receipt or email.
- Click Activate (or Save & Activate). The status changes to Active.
After that the site checks in with our licence server once a day on its own. You can press Re-check Now at any time.
Certificate Renewal has no licence field of its own. It asks for updates with the key entered in Certificate Expiry. If you bought the Expiry + Renewal bundle, that one key covers both. If you bought Renewal separately, email support@pluginsprout.com and we’ll make sure updates reach both plugins.
If activation fails

| Site activation limit reached. | The key is already active on as many sites as it allows. Deactivate it on a site you no longer use, or buy a licence for more sites. |
| This license key is not for this product. | Each key belongs to one add-on (the bundle key works for both certificate add-ons). Check you pasted the right one. |
| License is expired. | The licence year has ended. The add-on keeps working; email us to renew. |
| Invalid license key. | The key has a typo or extra space. Copy it again from the receipt or My Licences. |
