This policy explains what personal data PluginSprout collects when you visit pluginsprout.com or buy an add-on, and what we do with it. PluginSprout is a product of DistroCode LLC, a company based in the United States, which is responsible for your data. For anything in this policy, email support@pluginsprout.com.
What we collect
- When you buy: your name, email address, billing country and postcode. Card details go straight to Stripe; we never see or store them.
- When you activate a licence: the web address of the site the add-on is installed on. We use it to apply your licence’s site limit and to deliver updates, and it is sent again each time the add-on checks for an update.
- When you contact us: whatever you include in your email.
- When you browse: standard server logs (IP address, browser, pages requested) and the cookies listed below.
Why we use it
To process your order, email your receipt and licence key, provide updates and support, prevent fraud, and keep the accounting and tax records the law requires.
Who we share it with
- Stripe, which takes card payments.
- Hostinger, which hosts this site and sends our receipt and licence emails.
- Google Analytics, which counts visits and the pages people view, only if you accept analytics cookies.
We don’t sell your data or share it with advertisers.
How long we keep it
Order and licence records are kept while your licence exists and for six years after, for tax and accounting. Support emails are kept for as long as they are useful for helping you. Server logs are kept for a short period by our host.
Your rights
You can ask to see, correct or delete your personal data, or object to how we use it, by emailing support@pluginsprout.com. We’ll reply within 30 days. If you are in the EU or UK, you can also complain to your data protection authority.
Cookies
We use only the cookies needed to run the shop: one that remembers your cart and, if you have an account, one that keeps you logged in. On the checkout page Stripe sets its own cookies to detect fraud. If you accept analytics cookies in the banner, Google Analytics sets cookies (named _ga and _ga_*) that count visits and show which pages are read. They expire after two years, and IP addresses are not stored. If you decline, or make no choice, those cookies are not set. You can change your choice at any time with the Cookie settings link at the bottom of every page. We don’t use advertising cookies.
Changes
If we change this policy, we’ll update the date at the top of this page.
